Terms of Use
Effective October 7, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Future Starlight Co. ("we", "us") about using our websites and our games, apps and music ("products"). By using them, you agree to these terms. The terms of the store you got a product from also apply. If a product comes with its own terms, those apply to it as well, and they win where the two differ.
1. Using our products
When you buy or download one of our products, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for your own enjoyment, not commercially, on devices you own or control, as the store's rules allow. You may not:
- copy, share, resell or rent the product or the files inside it;
- get around its licence checks, or reverse-engineer it, except where the law allows;
- use it to break the law or to harm anyone.
Videos and streams. You're welcome to stream our games and to share videos and screenshots of them, including on monetized channels, as long as you don't present our work as your own or sell it.
2. Buying
Our products are sold through stores such as itch.io and Steam. The store takes your payment, handles taxes, and decides refunds under its own policy. Outfits, downloadable content and other add-ons are licences to use that content in the product; they have no cash value and can't be transferred. If something goes wrong with a purchase, email support@futurestarlight.co and we'll do our best to help.
3. Early access
Alpha and beta versions are unfinished. They may have bugs, change a lot, or lose your progress, and we may change or remove features. Thank you for helping us make them better.
4. Age and content
Some of our products are meant for older players. Check each product's rating and content notes before you play.
5. Your feedback
If you send us ideas, bug reports or diagnostic files, we may use them to improve our products without owing you anything for them.
6. Our work
Our products, websites, characters, art, music and names belong to Future Starlight Co. or to those who license them to us. These terms don't give you any rights in them beyond the licence above. Third-party parts, such as fonts, voices and software libraries, are used under their own licences, listed in each product's credits.
7. Other companies' services
Stores and platforms, such as itch.io and Steam, are run by other companies under their own terms, and we're not responsible for their services.
8. No warranties
Our products are made for fun. To the extent the law allows, we provide them "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, and we don't promise they'll be free of errors or always available.
9. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about a product is limited to the greater of what you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim and US$100. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer that the law doesn't allow to be taken away.
10. Changes
We may update our products and these terms. If we change the terms, we'll post the new version here with a new date, and using our products after that means you accept them.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of California, USA, and disputes go to the courts in California, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them closer to home.
12. Apps from Apple's App Store
If you got one of our apps from the App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no duty to maintain or support the app and isn't responsible for claims about it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
